No, I'm not about to kill myself and nothing bad has happened in my life.
After my last post, I have been told by two people that it made them worry about me, as it sounded so desperate/sad. I hereby state that this was not my intention, but I just had a bit of a melancholic day and I heard the song on the radio a couple of times. The line about the "stray" reminded me of my SL times and some of the good and bad things that happened to me during my first year there, so I decided to post and share it with you.
My life is still generally good, much better than it was about a year ago. I have been spending some time on SL and the associated Plurk/Faceboook accounts lately, so if you are lucky, you might catch me around there somewhere :)

"You hung me like a picture, now I'm just a frame
I used to be your lap dog, now I'm just a stray
Shackled in a graveyard, left here to decay
Left here to decay, left here to decay
I'm rusted from the rain"
"I'm not dead, just floating"
P!NK - I'm Not Dead (Lyrics)
(I'm still totally amazed by an awesome P!NK concert last sunday, I just had to start with a quote from one of her songs)
During my early days in SL, I mostly hang out at the Shelter, chatted with friends and listened to the music there. As they were often using the Weasel music stream, we regularly made requests there to listen to our favorite songs. For me, there were two songs that I requested regularly: Ghostbusters by Ray Parker Jr. and Thunderstruck by AC/DC ... and I probably annoyed everybody else by doing that ;)
As some of you might know, one of the things I discovered during my SL time was my love for Mashups. Ever since, I have been trying to keep up with some of the great tracks that are produced every day. A couple of days ago, I came across this track and was immediately thrown back in time for about two years:
Wax Audio - Thunder Busters
Woot! A wonderful mashup of two of my favorite songs! I nearly cried out loud when I found this, which would have surely surprised my colleagues ;)
Oh, the good old times! :-D
